Ambassador Privacy Policy

This policy is issued by Carté (Carte Vie Limited, RC 9436336) and covers the personal data of Ambassador applicants and active Ambassadors — separate from carteskin.com's customer-facing Privacy Policy, since Ambassadors share more sensitive data (banking details, university affiliation) than a typical shopper.

1. What we collect

• Identity — full name, phone number, WhatsApp number, email
• Academic — university, faculty/department, student ID number and photo (for verification)
• Financial — bank name, account number, account name, for payouts only
• Performance — referral link visits, sales made, commission earned and paid, tier and reward status
• Social/marketing — social media handles, content posted promoting Carté (for compliance review)

2. Why we collect it

• To verify you're a genuinely enrolled university student.
• To pay your commission to the correct bank account.
• To track your sales, your balance, and your tier and reward progress accurately.
• To review promotional content for compliance with the Code of Conduct and advertising standards.

3. Bank details

Your bank account details are used solely to pay your commission and are visible only to the authorized Carté team who process payouts. They are never shared with other Ambassadors or third-party marketers and are disclosed to a bank or tax authority only where legally required.

4. Student verification

Where we ask for a student ID or admission letter to confirm eligibility, this document is used only for verification and is not retained longer than the Ambassador is with Carté.

5. Sharing

We do not sell Ambassador data. It is shared only with the Carté team that operates the program, the customers you serve (your first name and your WhatsApp or phone number, shown to a customer who chooses campus pickup from you, so they can arrange collection), and, if legally compelled, regulators or law enforcement.

6. Retention after leaving the program

If you leave or are removed from the program, we retain payout and tax-relevant records for 3 years as required by Nigerian financial record-keeping law, and delete other personal data on request.

7. Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data (subject to payout/tax retention duties) by emailing support@carteskin.com.
